Firm registration

Richard Knight is a senior consultant at Business Class Asia, a Thailand-registered wealth-planning firm and member of the British Chamber of Commerce Thailand.

Business Class Asia is not licensed by the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) in Thailand to provide advice regarding investment into Funds or Securities or to trade these products, nor does it engage in Fund Management or Derivatives Business activities. Richard provides advisory and planning services only; product execution and custody are arranged through the regulated partner platforms described below.

Execution and custody

Richard provides advisory services. Product execution and client-asset custody happen through regulated partner platforms, typically FCA-regulated for UK clients and SEC Thailand-licensed brokers for Thai-resident execution. Specific partner platforms are disclosed in the engagement letter at the point of becoming a client.

How to verify independently

  1. Cross-check Richard's CISI membership at cisi.org.
  2. Confirm Business Class Asia's BCCT membership in the BCCT directory.
  3. Ask, in writing, for the regulatory references of the execution partner before any product purchase. Any reputable advisor will provide these on request.

Service-area policy

Richard's practice serves expats resident in Thailand and non-residents with material Thai exposure. The practice does not accept clients resident in OFAC-sanctioned jurisdictions or jurisdictions where the firm's licensing does not extend.
